The United States Navy Office of Naval Research in Arlington, Virginia today finalized the agreement for an R&D contract today with Visualytics. The multi-year contract from Office of Naval Research will provide Visualytics with substantial funding to continue their development of advanced tools to model, analyze and visualize dynamic ad-hoc networks with evolving topologies. The awarding of this contract was based on Visualytics' past performance on similar contracts for Office of Naval Research, and a competitive proposal bid deemed superior to other companies' offerings. The new technology developed under this contract is expected to have a wide range of potential applications to the US Navy, including modelling of wireless communications, counter-insurgency intelligence applications and more. Visualytics plans to develop this technology jointly for both specifically military and commercial applications, about which more will be released later.
